France (May 2016)

Read the short passage that tells our experiences of the workshop!

Last year, we had four different choices between projects. One of them is from France, and it was about linguistic problems between societies. Other 9 students and I decided to go France as a part of the project. The travel was long and tiring. When we landed to Brest, we met a German student who came for the same project. Then we went to school. The first day was for meeting up, we just meet our host families. Activities and lessons started after that day. We collaborate our information ( researches, surveys...). There were students who came from Danmark, Turkey, Spain, and France, so we got to see different perspectives. We had the chance to make a conversation with people who were migrated from Africa to France. They talked about their life and social differences. We also learn some sentences from body language, some sentences from Brittanica which is old Bretagne language. We made a collaboration with traditional dances, body languages, and old languages. After these activities we had a free day, in that day school took away us for kayaking, canoeing, and sailing. It was our last day, after 6 hours of flight we finally came to Turkey. All week was productive, we learn things about body language, and how it differs from language to language (Turkish, German, French...), we had the chance to discuss with different races.
